The Roanoke Beautification Foundation strives to maintain the charm and beauty of small town America. Our fundraising efforts support public common areas including streets, sidewalks, and parks. The goal is to beautify and design a unique image consistent with Roanoke's character that existed at the turn of the 19th century. We aim to lessen the burdens of the town of Roanoke by engaging in capital improvements, maintenance, and repairs.
Our commemorative bricks are featured along historic and charming Main Street. From individuals to businesses, these bricks celebrate the people that make up this flourishing community. As a celebration of this project's 25th anniversary, the we held a brick drive in 2020. Although the brick drive has finished, please contact us if you're still interested in purchasing a brick.
Our hanging baskets adorn the Main Street lampposts through the heart of downtown. The hanging baskets and their colorful flowers make their appearance in mid-May and get taken down in the fall. The colorful flowers embody the purpose of the Roanoke Beautification Foundation, that is, to help beautify Roanoke! Contact us today to learn how you can support the Roanoke community through this project!
Each commemorative bench displays the name of the organization or family/individual who generously made the donation to purchase the bench to support our community and, in some cases, honor the legacy of a deceased Roanoke supporter. Commemorative benches can be viewed all throughout our quaint downtown. Interested in supporting Roanoke through this initiative? Contact us today!
